Palliative Care Physician (200-1559)
Description of role:
It will include:
- Provision of palliative care consults and follow ups in West Coast General Hospital and the local 4 bed hospice, Ty Watson House.
- Provision of outpatient and home visit palliative care consults within the Port Alberni area with occasional outreach to the west coast of Vancouver Island including Tofino/Ucluelet (driver’s license and car are required)
- Participation in the rural & remote palliative care on-call schedule
- Teaching and supervision of medical learners (requires eligibility for faculty appointment with UBC)
Education, Training and Experience
- CFPC or FRCPC
- Eligible for full licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia
