At Bellamere Winery and Event Centre, we specialize in creating unforgettable wedding and event experiences. Our beautiful venue hosts a variety of celebrations throughout the year, and our team works behind the scenes to ensure each event runs smoothly. We are currently looking for reliable, hardworking Dishwashers to join our kitchen team during our busy event season.
Job Summary:
As a Dishwasher, you will play an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen and service areas. You will be responsible for washing and sanitizing dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, ensuring that everything is ready for service throughout each event. This is a fast-paced role that requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using both commercial dish machines and manual methods.
- Keep the dish area, kitchen, and storage areas clean and organized.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks in the kitchen as needed (floors, surfaces, garbage removal).
- Ensure all work is done in compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support the kitchen and event staff as needed to ensure smooth operation during events.
- Maintain a positive, respectful attitude in a team-focused environment.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a dishwasher or in a kitchen environment is an asset, but not required as we are happy to train the right candidate.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting/moving items as required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Availability to work weekends, days and evenings.
