Job Information:

  • Permanent, unionized position.
  • 40 hours per week, from Sunday to Saturday.
  • Rotating shifts (day, evening, night) every two (2) weeks.
    • Shift premiums (evening (7$), night (14$), weekend (80,63$)).

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to service calls.
  • Supervise your team members, ensuring their safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with established processes, procedures, standards, and rules.
  • Monitor the quality of work performed on equipment.
  • Coordinate and prioritize interventions during equipment breakdowns.
  • Receive, analyze, or open work orders, taking into account parts supply, internal and external labor.
  • Plan corrective and preventive maintenance.
  • Perform any other related tasks as outlined in the collective agreement.

Requirements:

Education

  • A DEC (Diploma of College Studies) in industrial mechanics or a vocational diploma (DEP) in a related field combined with relevant experience.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience supervising a maintenance team in an industrial or rolling equipment field
  • Experience in a unionized environment (an asset).

  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Exceptional ability to make quick decisions and resolve complex operational issues.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective collaboration.
  • Proven leadership skills and the ability to rally a team towards common goals.
  • Availability for on-site work and supervision of operations.
  • Flexibility to work rotating schedules, including day, evening, and night shifts, from Sunday to Saturday.
  • Advanced proficiency in common computer tools, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • French is mandatory, but a basic knowledge of English is also desired due to the international nature of the company and the need for occasional interactions with international suppliers and partners, as well as to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues.
