About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete maintenance service requests as assigned in a timely and professional manner.
- Coordinate and support special projects as directed by the Community Manager and Maintenance Lead.
- Assist Maintenance Lead in monitoring work performed by outside contractors and trades.
- Participate in the 24-hour emergency maintenance service rotation.
- Operate a truck with a dump trailer to transport materials as needed.
- Carry a cell phone while on-call, as scheduled.
- Perform minor building repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
- Maintain adequate inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Complete general grounds work, such as trash pickup, curb and dumpster area cleaning, and landscaping maintenance.
- Promptly report any unusual occurrences, damage, or safety concerns to the Community Manager and Maintenance Lead.
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all residents, vendors, and team members.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company safety standards and applicable municipal and provincial regulations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Qualifications & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract required.
- Experience with modular/manufactured home maintenance is an asset.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces (e.g., under homes for plumbing/winterization tasks).
- Proficient in the use of common maintenance equipment such as snow blowers, lawn mowers, and hand tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Proven ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive, proactive attitude with a self-starter mindset.
