Operations Maintenance Coordinator

The location in Childersburg, Alabama, is seeking talent to fill the position of Operations Maintenance Coordinator. This job is full-time and onsite.
Overview: Reporting to the Line Manager, the Operations Maintenance Coordinator (OMC) is responsible for the overall coordination of maintenance activities required for maintaining and ensuring the reliability of all assets in their respective area of operational responsibility. This role promotes a safe working environment and effective communication between operations, engineering, reliability, and maintenance teams.
Your challenges:
- Coordinate required housekeeping and safety measures for maintenance work, including permits and lockouts.
- Facilitate communication between operations and maintenance to eliminate delays and improve workflow.
- Review and screen all work requests for completeness and determine appropriate handling and prioritization.
- Participate in planning and scheduling meetings, ensuring preventive maintenance is prioritized.
- Assist in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs including Operator Basic Care.
- Monitor and adjust priorities for scheduled work to accommodate emergency or break-in work.
- Track and report on key performance indicators such as schedule compliance, PM compliance, and equipment availability.
Your skills:
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in maintenance planning and scheduling processes.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
Your profile:
- B.S. degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years’ experience in the paper industry or industrial setting, including troubleshooting production, quality, and equipment.
- In-depth knowledge of papermaking principles, processes, and equipment preferred.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
