Landscape Maintenance Foreperson / Horticulturalist

This is a Full-Time position.

The maintenance department at Sequoia Landscape Services focusses on high end residential spaces and quality multi home developments. We are fortunate to call the North Shore home and have grown our business here for the past 20 + years. Skills and Experience:

• 2+ years of residential or high end gardening
  -Leadership experience in general landscaping with a comprehensive knowledge of west coast plants and seasonal requirements
  -Valid Class 5 Drivers License
  -Time Management and organizational skills
  -Work efficiently as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude
  -Ability to follow directions and maintain records of materials and expenses
  -Experience working with a variety of equipment, materials, and tools involved in a range of projects

• Red Seal Certificate or Master Gardener accreditation an asset

-Main scope of work: lawn and garden care, hedging, planting, mulching, pruning, laying sod, and other garden maintenance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Delegate tasks and work as part of a team to complete jobs within the estimated time frames and budgets while enhancing outdoor spaces
-Coordinate with management and on site crews to facilitate job actions, installations, and daily responsibilities
-Maintain a friendly and personable attitude
-Ability to communicate effectively with on-site labourers and clients, ensuring high level of customer service
-Adhere to all Occupational Health and Safety Standards

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
