About the role
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise housekeeping staff, ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction by maintaining cleanliness standards.
- Conduct daily inspections of public areas and guestrooms, ensuring that rooms are clean and in good condition.
- Provide training and guidance to new and existing employees, fostering team development and motivation.
- Manage staff schedules, adjust work assignments based on guest arrivals and departures, and maintain accurate time logs.
- Monitor lost and found procedures, ensuring all found items are properly recorded and delivered to the Housekeeping office.
- Facilitate effective communication between staff and management, ensuring the efficient operation of the housekeeping department.
- Stay knowledgeable about hotel services and amenities to promote these offerings when appropriate.
- Comply with all safety and emergency response protocols, and report any safety hazards or incidents.
- Complete all administrative tasks such as opening, closing, and daily operational paperwork.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills to effectively manage a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to spot areas needing improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to maintain open dialogue with staff and guests.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
