POSITION:

Administrative Control Clerk

DEPARTMENT:

Outpatient - Rehabilitation Services

CONDITIONS:

Temporary Part-time (0.40 FTE) for approximately seven (7) months

HOURS:

Approximately 30.0 Bi-weekly Hours

SHIFTS:

Days / Evenings / Weekends

7.5 hours per shift (subject to change)

WAGE RANGE:

Scale Minimum Maximum

NONU 02 $26.87/hr $32.57/hr

To provide clerical and reception services supporting the coordination of care and the collaboration between stakeholders to optimize the care provied to patients and their care partmers in the Hospital environment.

The Administrative Control Clerk is the first point of contact in the clinical unit/department. This individual must be an ambassador of the Queensway Carleton Hospitals values ensuring a positive experience for our patients, care partners and staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the delivery of high-quality coordinated care by performing clerical and administrative duties in alignment with established policies and protocols to ensure efficient and optimal departmental operations, while always maintaining professionalism and a high level of confidentiality.
  • Prioritize positive client experience through effective and efficient communication and service delivery that’s in alignment with organizational values
  • Train new ACC clerks following established polices and processes
  • Order and maintain stock of departmental supplies necessary for regular operations
  • Other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 12 education or equivalent
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Medical Terminology Course
  • Clerical and data entry experience

PREFERRED:

  • Medical Office Administration Assistant Certificate
  • 1-3 years hospital experience
  • Experience with the Electronic Health Record (HER) Systems
