Safety-Kleen in Nisku, AB is seeking a Sales and Service Route Driver (SSR) to join their safety conscious team! This role requires a Class 3 licensed individual to drive our Box Truck to complete delivery of services to customers’ locations. In addition, the role requires performing sales-related tasks to identify and solicit new business.

Required Routes: Areas of coverage will primarily include the Edmonton & surrounding area, however, applicants must be available & comfortable driving out of town runs to locations such as Fort McMurray, Lloydminster, Edson & Hinton on a need basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Driving the Box Truck to different customer sites - collection of waste in a safe and compliant manner and transportation of waste to a branch.
• Picking up/delivering waste services, making drop offs to our disposal facilities.
• Upselling products/ additional services, generating new sales leads.
• Achieve monthly sales targets.
• Complete daily scheduled services, deliveries, and pickups in a timely manner.
• Complete all required documentation and labeling.
• Work with route drivers to convert new sales opportunities.
• Prepare and deliver customer quotes.
• Prospect and convert leads to customers.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 3 license & 3+ years’ operating experience (Manual Transmission)
• Comfortable driving on both local and out-of-town routes.
• Vac Truck Operator experience is a strong asset (Manual Transmission Added Advantage)
• Electronic logging experience.
• Sales experience (automotive, oil & gas industries and line added advantage).
• Environmental Services/Hazardous waste experience highly preferred.
• Knowledge on Inventory (Warehouse/Store).
• Mechanical experience in troubleshooting & strong computer literacy.
• Trade/Safety certificates (TDG, H2S Alive, Forklift, Confined Space Entry etc.
• Comfortable with15% out of town service a month
• Clean driving record.
• Proven ability to develop a book of business.
