Business Decision Support Lead

Number of positions: 1 Job Location: Dunsmuir 09

Employment type: Permanent Region: Lower Mainland

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Hybrid

Annual salary: $ 127,900.00 - 161,800.00

What you'll do

  • Design, Build, Launch and Manage the Business Decision Support (BDS) Function, which includes:

  • Provide people leadership BDS Consultants on Technology projects, i.e., approve invoices, manage work order

extensions, access, etc.

  • Provide an oversight over the work of all CLRA Business Decision Support Consultants on projects plus service providers.

Act as the escalation point and resolve issues where appropriate.

  • Navigates BCH process model, leads business through to-be discussions and sets up future processes in alignment with

Business Architecture and business requirements.

  • Develop and deliver on-boarding training to all Business Decision Support Consultants.

  • Coach and mentor Project Managers, BDS Consultants and other stakeholders (business and technical) on process

design methodologies, business analysis tools, and adjacent practices (e.g., change management, facilitation), applying

ITDSP framework as they initiate and execute technology initiatives.

  • Provide resource management expertise to a team of Program Delivery Managers and Project Managers, including

managing supply and demand of BDS Consultant resources, leading recruitment, selecting candidates, and conducting

interviews, etc.

  • Lead and participate in business analysis and process architecture activities on high impact/high complexity projects in a

Process Architect and/or Senior Business Decision Support Consultant capacity. Tasks may include leading cross-

functional process improvement, eliciting requirements, facilitating process discovery and design workshops, producing

project deliverables, performing user acceptance testing, training materials development, etc.

  • Ensure delivery practices are up to date in respect to business analysis and process design areas, own process QA

standards, and evolve to meet the needs of the delivery organization and project performance as appropriate.

  • Actively manage consultative and ongoing relationships with Change Management, Work Smart, Service Management

Office, Portfolio Managers, etc.

  • Manage the BDS Community, including facilitating regular group meetings to share knowledge, build relationships and

increase efficiency and effectiveness of business analysis and process architecture activities.

  • Role would need to support use and further roll out of Signavio.

What you bring

  • Minimum of 7 years of business analysis, process analysis and improvement, change management and/or organizational

effectiveness experience.

  • A degree in Computing Science, Business Administration, or equivalent.

  • Demonstrated business acumen, including ability to analyze strategic requirements and develop action plan.

  • Experience in developing current and future state process mapping and analysis and ability to integrate and communicate

technical and functional view into a cohesive solution.

  • Expert proficiency in MS Visio, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Strong analytical, research, problem solving, critical thinking skills.

  • Proven experience in coaching and training teams.

  • Proven experience in delivering technology-enabled business projects.

  • Proven ability to build effective relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Understanding of various Project Management, Business Analysis, Lean Six Sigma methodologies and proven ability to

effectively tailor them to the needs of the assigned projects.

  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, written/oral communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong ability to influence and

persuade decisions to benefit the business.
