About the role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Quotation Specialist to join our clients team. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in sales support, inside sales within the plumbing, wholesale, or mechanical distribution sectors. The Quotations Specialist will be responsible for preparing, tracking, and managing quotes for commercial and residential projects, supporting both internal sales teams and external clients such as contractors, wholesalers, and engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications, drawings, and tender documents to prepare accurate quotations
- Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers to obtain current pricing, availability, and lead times
- Collaborate with sales representatives to develop customized quotations for clients
- Input and maintain quotation data in CRM or ERP systems
- Monitor project bid deadlines and ensure timely delivery of quotations
- Track submitted quotes, follow up on open opportunities, and support conversion to orders
- Assist with product selections, substitutions, and value engineering when required
- Liaise with logistics or procurement teams to ensure alignment on fulfillment timelines
- Maintain an organized library of product data sheets, pricing lists, and quote templates
- Provide administrative support to the sales and estimating teams as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience in a quotation, estimating, or inside sales role, ideally within mechanical, plumbing, and distribution
- Strong knowledge of plumbing products, systems, and industry terminology
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
- Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is an asset
