PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Accounting Clerk is expected to adapt his/her daily duties in order to fit the current demands of job.
The Accounting Clerk is expected to:
- Seek ways to exceed the expectations of employees and customers
- Protect the legal and financial welfare of the dealership
- Be models of the dealership by maintaining legal, moral and ethical standards with all customers and employees
- Adhere to the core values by being trustworthy and helpful team player
- Support the efforts for the other employees
- Be efficient, accurate, and timely when processing paperwork
- Keep balances and well-maintained accounts and schedules
Primary duties:
- Always demonstrate professionalism and a good attitude
- Process accounting files for various departments
- Post deals
- Balance cash and reconcile bank statements
- Prepare and post daily deposits
- Process accounts receivables and collections
- Initiate credit and reference checks with credit institutions when necessary
- Process accounts payable invoices, reconciliations of supplier statements, and payment of supplier statements
- Liaise with customers to collect arrears receivables
- Process and reconcile receivables from manufacturer
- Assist in preparations of monthly statements through reconciliation of various accounts
- Assist in preparing fiscal year-end working papers for auditors
- Attend department meetings
- Perform any other duties as required
- Communicate and enforce dealership policies and procedures
- Attend training opportunities.
Incumbent will be paid on a full-time basis and understands the hours required for the position may be irregular in nature.
