POSITION DESCRIPTION
As an Instructional Designer, you will lead curriculum planning, development, and improvement for several existing programs and new projects. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and SMEs to lead an efficient design process from inception to delivery while drawing on your knowledge of adult learning theories, instructional best practices, and educational technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop educational materials for multiple delivery methods and adult learner profiles.
- Collaborate with faculty and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to determine content requirements, define learning objectives, and ensure accuracy and relevance.
- Work closely with REDI staff and faculty to prioritize project components and resource development within timelines and available resources.
- Use authoring tools (Articulate Storyline, Rise 360) to create interactive e-learning course components.
- Review, revise, and update existing training content to ensure it aligns with REDI’s mission and meets quality standards.
- Analyze learner feedback and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of instructional materials and recommend improvements.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3-5 years of experience designing and developing instructional materials
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
- Proficiency with e-learning authorizing tools (eg. Articulate Storyline, Rise 360), learning management systems (LMS), and SCORM standards.
- Proficiency leveraging design and AI tools (eg. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, OpenAI)
- Excellent communication, time management, and organization skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Graphic and web design experience is an asset.
