Project Manager

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Manager, Project Management, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all project activities to support product launches. This critical role will be responsible for leading and coordinating all phases of our new product development and launch initiatives, from concept to commercialization. Key Accountabilities

  • Take new products from the concept to production following a defined Phase/Gate process.
  • Manage other engineering or manufacturing projects outside of the phase gate model as assigned.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams (including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Marketing, and Sales) through the entire project lifecycle.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, detailed timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Define and manage project milestones, deliverables, and critical paths, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to acceptable product cost.
  • Utilize project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban) and tools to track progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate regular team (APQP) meetings and communicate status updates, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred.

Desired Characteristics

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, OEM mobile or industrial equipment. Focus on New Product Introduction is preferred.
  • Possess excellent Leadership skills to motivate team members, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues as required.
  • Possess excellent time management skills and ability to self-manage effectively.
  • Possess excellent analytical / problem solving skills to help facilitate decisions affecting the project.
  • Possess excellent communication and presentation skills for project status reporting to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in all applicable software applications (i.e. Microsoft Office including Project).
  • Able to travel both locally and internationally, including for extended periods
  • Previous experience with Mobile Elevating Work Platforms o Material Handling would be an asset.
