About the role
Discovery Co-operative is hiring a Part-Time Yard Attendant on a temporary basis for our Home Centre in North Battleford, SK.
What you’ll do:

Lead the receiving, organization, and delivery of merchandise and building materials.

Oversee inventory processes and ensure accurate, safe handling and storage of goods.
-
Operate and maintain equipment, tools, and fleet vehicles in line with Discovery Co-op and safety standards.

Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free lumber yard and warehouse environment.
-
Provide guidance and support to team members in customer service, scheduling, and daily operations.
-
Respond to on-site support requests and ensure smooth resolution of customer and team needs.
-
Assist in the training, mentoring, and supervision of yard staff to promote productivity and engagement.
-
Perform other duties as assigned.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Customer Service and have:

Grade 12 or Equivalent
-
Proven supervisory skills.
-
Willingness to accept increased responsibilities.
-
Must be willing to take a leadership role in productivity and reliability.

Must be able to make decisions and adjust circumstances quickly and efficiently.
-
Basic knowledge of building materials is an asset.
-
Co-operative retail experience is an asset.
-
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License is required.
-
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and perform regular heavy lifting up to 50-100 lbs.

Will be required at times to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Is an honest, trustworthy and results orientated individual who strives to be the best in what you do.
A combination of relevant education and experience may be considered.
