Role Description
We are looking for an experienced Unreal Engine Programmer for a contract role. This is a remote position with flexible working hours.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing game systems, debugging, and ensuring seamless integration of console features. You’ll collaborate closely with the game design and narrative teams to implement immersive mechanics and psychological frameworks that elevate player experience.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop robust, optimized gameplay systems in C++ and Blueprints using Unreal Engine
• Architect and implement networking systems for seamless cooperative gameplay
• Collaborate with designers and artists to bring diverse puzzle mechanics to life
• Optimize performance across different game environments and player counts
• Participate in feature planning and contribute to the game’s technical direction
Requirements
• 5+ years of experience in C++ game development
• Expertise in Unreal Engine, especially networking and multiplayer architecture
• Proven experience working on shipped co-op or multiplayer titles
• Strong understanding of puzzle game design principles and systems
• Portfolio showcasing gameplay mechanics or systems in similar genres
• Comfortable working independently with a team in a remote environment
• Open to extended collaboration post-launch, based on performance
