About the role
Are you passionate about designing meaningful learning experiences that empower individuals to grow, contribute, and thrive? Do you have a knack for organizing training programs that spark curiosity and foster real development? If you’re looking to make an impact at a values-driven, people-first organization—this is your opportunity.
A high-performing, growth-oriented Professional services firm has partnered with Humans of HR to find a talented Learning & Development Coordinator/Specialist. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of logistics, learning design, and employee experience—and who wants to help shape the future of learning across a dynamic and evolving organization.
As a Learning & Development Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in elevating the employee experience by coordinating seamless onboarding programs and supporting the launch of a robust internal learning platform. From the first day an employee joins to every development opportunity that follows, you’ll help design and deliver moments that matter. You’ll collaborate with People & Culture, internal trainers, and business leaders to ensure every learning touchpoint is thoughtful, accessible, and impactful.
In this role, you’ll coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding, managing session logistics, liaising with presenters, tracking progress, and ensuring that all materials are up to date and user-friendly. You’ll also serve as a key point of contact for new hires, supporting their early experience and answering onboarding-related questions. Beyond orientation, you’ll manage the logistics of training programs by booking rooms or setting up virtual sessions, sending invites, preparing materials, and maintaining the training calendar. You’ll also help administer the learning management system by uploading content, tracking participation, and generating basic reports to measure training engagement and effectiveness.
You’ll assist in the creation and delivery of learning content—developing slide decks, guides, e-learning modules, and instructional aids to support a wide range of internal development programs. Whether you’re conducting research, gathering feedback, or co-facilitating foundational training sessions, your contribution will help ensure the learning experience is relevant, engaging, and results-driven. You’ll also play a critical role in process documentation and knowledge transfer by working with subject matter experts to document core business procedures and turn them into clear, actionable resources that employees can rely on. This documentation will support consistent execution, reduce knowledge gaps, and become a foundational part of onboarding and upskilling efforts.
To thrive in this role, you’ll bring a diploma or degree in Human Resources, Adult Education, Communications, or a related field—or equivalent hands-on experience. You should have 2–3 years of experience in a learning and development or training coordination role, along with a solid understanding of adult learning principles and basic instructional design. You’re highly organized, collaborative, detail-oriented, and tech-comfortable—with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams, Zoom), and ideally some familiarity with learning management systems or e-learning tools. You must also be legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.
This role offers a base salary between $70,000 and $80,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. In addition, you’ll participate in a competitive annual performance bonus, RRSP Matching and full suite of benefits. You’ll also enjoy a flexible hybrid work model and the opportunity to help shape a vibrant culture of learning in a growing, purpose-driven organization.
If this sounds like the kind of opportunity that energizes you, we’d love to hear from you. Humans of HR is proud to be managing recruitment for this opportunity on behalf of our client. Apply today to help build a culture where learning fuels both individual and collective success.
