About the Role
We’re looking for a Financial Analyst, Financial Data Insights & Systems to play a key role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making. In this role, you’ll support the analysis of revenue-related metrics, particularly point-of-sale (POS) data to translate it into meaningful management reporting.
As a subject matter expert, you’ll collaborate closely with the Financial Systems Manager to support the vision, development, and ongoing maintenance of our OneStream FP&A platform.
You’ll be instrumental in ensuring business continuity and operational excellence within the FP&A systems space, while helping the organization enhance its data-driven planning and performance
About Your Day
- Develop modelling and other key analyses to drive initiatives, monitor trends, and identify exceptions relating to revenue and related drivers
- Support the development of consumer behaviour hypotheses based on POS data from an FP&A perspective
- Act as FP&A ambassador/thought leader and collaborate with other individuals within OCS to discuss POS driven insights, provide support and discuss best practices.
- Develop and publish dashboards that supports OCS management decision making
- Utilize the financial planning tool to deliver standardized monthly reporting for management, including revenue and cost analysis, POS data, and business analytics
- Foster and develop strategic business partnerships with functional and departmental leaders, with ability to communicate financials and operational impacts into simple language for all business partners
- Provide support to Financial Systems Manager as the subject-matter expert of our FP&A tool (OneStream) inclusive of completing maintenance and resolving issues to ensure data integrity of the system and system optimization
- Coordinate with solution vendor to address, troubleshoot and follow up on tool issues
- Configure and maintain security and access profiles for existing and future users
- Support the development of new processes and new reporting to better understand the company’s financial landscape
- Execute against ad hoc analytical projects that deepen business insight and drive value within the OCS
- Identify and recommend improvements to the FP&A processes for greater efficiency
- Assist with special FP&A projects as needed
About You
- Post-secondary education in Finance / Accounting or related fields (Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Accounting/ Finance is preferred)
- A recognized accounting accreditation [CA/CMA/CGA/CPA]
- 5+ years of experience in finance or accounting
- 2+ years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis
- Experience managing a financial system as a superuser/administrator
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred
- 2+ years of experience working with OneStream tool is an asset
- Keen interest in driving and investigating data-driven insights
- Strong technical and analytical skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and strong organizational skills
- Advanced experience, knowledge, and skills in Microsoft analysis tools such as Power BI
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem-solving skills to provide professional analysis and recommendations
About the Job
- This position currently offers a hybrid work schedule. The current in office requirement is a minimum of 3 days/week (may be more depending on business needs). The OCS office is located near York Mills and Yonge Street. However, OCS reserves the right to change this policy and its office location at any time.

- Required Travel: Rare, usually within the GTA
Compensation
The target hiring range for this position is $75,000-$85,000. This is a pay grade 5B role, with a salary range of $60,684.73 - $ 92,511.96. Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.

The Ontario Cannabis Store is a Crown agency solely owned by the Province of Ontario and reporting to the Ministry of Finance.
The OCS provides safe, responsible access to legal recreational cannabis for adults 19 and older. We are Ontario’s sole wholesaler to more than 1,500 Authorized Cannabis Stores. The OCS also operates OCS.ca, the Province’s online cannabis retailer which delivers to consumers in every corner of Ontario.
We make sure our customers only receive legal, clearly labelled cannabis products by working closely with a diverse group of Licensed Producers authorized by Health Canada.
