Our dedicated teams serve national and international customers from eight customer care centers that operate in every major North American time zone. To further strengthen Sun Gro’s customer service, our exemplary support teams are on call to help professional growers troubleshoot and make the most of Sun Gro® products.
Job Description Summary: The Sales Training Co-Op/Internship will participate in a 8-month training program starting September 2025 designed to provide comprehensive exposure to the sales process, product knowledge, and customer engagement. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales team to ensure project goals are met and contribute to the overall success of the department.

Program Highlights: Orientation and Training: Introduction to company culture, policies, and procedures; training on CRM systems and sales tools; product knowledge sessions.
Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research; analyze competitor products; identify potential clients.
Sales Support and Administration: Assist in organizing business plans; support senior sales staff; monitor and analyze sales data.
Customer Engagement: Conduct product demonstrations and sales pitches; build relationships with industry professionals.
Sales Techniques and Strategies: Training on advanced sales techniques; develop strategies to increase product specifications; conduct prospect calls.
Independent Sales Activities: Take on independent sales activities; present products to clients; monitor sales data.
Collaboration and Networking: Work with outside sales reps; attend industry events; build and maintain client relationships.
Advanced Sales Projects: Develop and implement strategies to increase market share; conduct in-depth sales analysis.
Final Projects and Presentations: Complete final sales projects; deliver presentations on outcomes; receive final feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gain product knowledge and understand the sales process.
- Conduct sales analysis to learn about products and customers.
- Perform cold calling to potential clients.
- Assist in organizing and executing business plans.
- Support senior sales staff with administrative tasks.
- Engage with customers and conduct product demonstrations.
Qualifications:
- Current Senior enrolled in a relevant degree program (e.g., Business, Marketing, Communications).
- Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Enthusiastic and pleasant attitude.
- Strong desire to learn.
Hours/Days/Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday, 30-40 hours per week, day shift.
Potential for Full-Time Role: Upon successful completion of the program, there is potential for the intern to transition into a full-time Junior Sales Representative position. This role will most likely require relocation to an open territory across the United States and any of the provinces in Canada.
