Position Overview
Currently experiencing a period of sustained growth, PSG is seeking a seasoned and innovative Director to represent the firm’s listed real assets strategies across Canada and the Eastern US with institutional clients. The individual will be responsible for building new relationships and managing existing client relationships with public and private pensions, consultants, family offices, insurers and other institutional asset owners. This is a dynamic front-facing role, with heavy interaction with institutional investors, internal senior executives, investment professionals and portfolio managers.
The successful candidate will bring a passion for relationship building, a deep understanding of the institutional market and a solid track record in representing complex alternative products to the Canadian market.
This is an exciting opportunity for a driven and strategic institutional capital raising professional to drive the expansion of a unique platform within an established and dynamic brand.
Role Responsibilities
- Deepen Brookfield’s institutional client base across the region with a particular focus on Brookfield’s listed real assets capabilities.
- Responsible for representing the continuum of Brookfield’s Public Securities offering across real estate, infrastructure, debt, equity and multi-asset strategies.
- Formulate a strategic plan of capital raising across the Canadian region including geographic focus and product priorities.
- Communicate the firm’s distinctive investment principles and competitive advantage to institutional investors, effectively positioning Brookfield as a truly differentiated provider of investment solutions.
- Deepen relationships with field consultants across the Canadian region and build relationships with Consultant OCIO teams (Canada-based).
- Collaborate with U.S. based Consultant Relations team members to drive ratings and grow new business influenced by consultants.
- Collaborate closely with Brookfield’s US Client Services team, operations and investment teams on a broad range of client related matters.
- Provide exceptional client service and identify opportunities to grow existing and new relationships.
- Convey deep technical knowledge of the firm’s investment strategies and funds.
Desired Qualifications
- At least 10 years’ experience in an institutional capital raising role with a strong track record of wealth management fund raising and business development in Canada, preferably with a strong orientation towards real assets (both real estate and infrastructure).
- Prior experience in “real assets” or “liquid alternatives” preferred.
- Outstanding relationship-building, communication and presentation skills bolstered by strong interpersonal and communication skills in dealings with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Outstanding business acumen and the ability to execute on strategic initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.Able to present ideas with precision, passion and conviction.
- Ability to collaborate with individuals at all levels of a high performing organization.
