Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Inventory Control Specialist supports proper tracking and movement of inventory throughout Raffi Jewellers from orders to sales. The incumbent will be responsible for ordering, coordinating transportation, receiving, coding, and entering items into our system, as well as ensuring timely distribution to the stores. The role oversees quarterly inventory counts, completes reconciliations, and produces relevant reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Using our inventory systems, identify, record, tag, track, and maintain/update all inventory related data
- Send inventory to its proper store location, taking proper security precautions
- Manage logistics associated with shipments and transfers
- Act as the subject matter expert regarding the inventory module within Raffi systems
- Analyze sales records and compare them to physical store inventory
- Produce relevant reports relating to any discrepancies
- Communicate with CEO, Team Leads, and Managers regarding inventory count results
- Assist in investigating cases of loss
- Learn and maintain appropriate product knowledge
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar inventory management role
- Business Administration, Operations Management or equivalent post-secondary schooling is preferred.
- Experience with Edge POS or NetSuite is considered an asset
- Detail-oriented with a focus on data entry accuracy
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Retail industry knowledge is an asset
