We are seeking an experienced Material Control / Forklift and Reach Operator to join our dynamic team at our Warehouse Facility in Kitchener to build loads on trailers, as per instruction, manually or by lift truck, and to unload trailers in the same manner.
- Operate lift truck in a safe manner
- Perform safety checks on lift trucks as per company guidelines
- Unloads containers either using forklift or manually by hand
- Helps receive product by verifying correct incoming product, counting incoming product
- Reskids loads to proper racking height and or proper skids manually by hand
- Uses wrapping machine to stretch wrap skidded product
- Assists in picking product from racking system when required
- Assists in putting away product into the racking system when required
Keeps warehouse neat and tidy
Empties garbage when required
Load trucks per instructions
Other duties as assigned
Perform all responsibilities/services in accordance with the company Quality Assurance Procedures
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 education, or equivalent
- 6 months - 1 year experience operating Forklift preferred but willing to train the right person.
- Reach truck/propane license preferred
- Fall arrest training an asset
- Good language communication skills – written & verbal
- Good hand/eye coordination
- Good computer navigation skills – working knowledge of MS Excel
*This role involves; heavy lifting, constant walking, some climbing to build loads.
