Production Associates
Egar Tool and Die Ltd. is pleased to offer Full Time employment opportunities in our Stamping and Assembly departments. Our production associates are an integral part of our stamping and assembly processes, ensuring the best quality parts are delivered to our customers. You will be challenged to meet production targets together with your team.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Accurately loading preprogrammed weld cells with 2-5lb parts
- Accurately pack parts coming off stamping presses or weld cells
- Maximize quality and production as part of a team
- Conduct frequent part inspections for defects (requires good attention to details)
- Accurately and safely pack parts into appropriate bins to prepare for shipment
- Perform and maintain 5S standards in areas of responsibility
Qualifications
- Ability to stand for long periods (full shift)
- Must be fully mobile, lifting and bending involved (must be able to lift 35 – 50 lbs)
- Proficient in written and spoken English
- Ability to use basic hand tools accurately and efficiently
- Accountable – Teachable – Approachable -team player
- Conscientious worker with good eye for detail
- Ability to learn, make decisions, be flexible and problem solve

Salary information:
- $19.00 - $21.00 per hour depending on position.
- $0.75 shift premium nights
- 4 hour shift bonus weekends*

Egar Tool and Die is a world-class manufacturer of automotive stamping dies, production stampings and welded assemblies. Located in Cambridge, Ontario, Egar has been supplying complex progressive and transfer dies to the North American Tier I automotive industry for almost 30 years.
All tools are designed in-house by a skilled design team using the latest CAD/CAM modeling and simulation tools. The dies are manufactured in a well appointed tool room equipped with large bed CNC machines and high capacity overhead cranes. Egar has a strong reputation with some of the industries' most demanding customers for on-time delivery of quality tools that run at rate and within spec.
To better meet the requirements of our Tier I customer base, Egar expanded its operations to include high volume production stamping. With large bed presses ranging in capacities of 400T to 1200T, Egar produces over 7 million stampings a year. The company has invested in modern metalforming technology including a link press and servo-transfers. Coupled with its die making expertise, Egar is a cost effective and reliable choice for your high quality complex stamping requirements.
