The Opportunity
As a key member of the Wajax team the Parts Representative is responsible for providing an elevated level of customer service in support of the business of service and parts sales to the market, ensuring efforts are made to support repeat business by supporting front counter/order desk, warehouse and front counter and support the Service Department with administration duties.
The Role
- Builds and maintains strong customer relations, including greeting customers, handling inquiries, providing price quotes, and selling parts.
- Responds to customers in person, via telephone, or electronically in a timely and courteous manner; delivers strong service and salesmanship on the phone order desk and front counter.
- Prepares and processes documentation for purchases, returns, warranty coverage, and other required tasks.
- Supports shop needs by looking up, picking, and billing parts to work orders; reviews and modifies work orders for part accuracy.
- Picks stock for customers; receives and inputs stock using electronic systems.
- Assists with daily shipping and receiving, including handling emergency orders, stock orders (min/max levels), and inter-branch transfers.
- Ships products to local and out-of-town customers using appropriate shipping methods.
- Produces accurate and timely documentation of all transactions within the parts team.
- Processes and issues invoices, purchase orders, and warranty claims; tracks department attendance and assists with payroll and bookkeeping tasks.
- Generates new and repeat sales by providing timely product and pricing information.
- Determines customer requirements to recommend appropriate products and solutions.
- Recommends alternatives based on cost, availability, or specifications.
- Increases sales and average order size through cross-selling, up-selling, add-ons, and promotional offers.
- Prepares customer presentations, tenders, RFQs, and project quotations for Aftermarket Sales Reps as required.
- Attends site visits and customer presentations with Aftermarket Sales Reps when needed.
- Responds to customer requests for quotes or purchases via phone, fax, or email, including participation in after-hours on-call rotation.
The Candidate

Technical, electromechanical or post-secondary diploma related to the industrial field or equivalent experience.

Knowledge of mechanical power transmission, hydraulics and/or pneumatic's

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, CRM (Salesforce
preferred), completion of ongoing product training -
Responsible and adaptable
