As a Team Lead, Business Planning and Performance, you will work closely with the Fleet & Inventory's management and leadership team to support business goals and drivers and identify opportunities for data enablement to drive continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making. Primary duties include:

  • Leverage, analyze, and report on data outputs from core systems to support initiatives such as asset management, safety performance analysis, and workforce planning.
  • Provide data analytics and dashboard development to support divisions, enhance decision-making and enable continuous improvement.
  • Create and maintain a recurring system of performance reports and scorecards for senior leadership to monitor trends, risks, and operational outcomes.
  • Coordinate and conduct business and financial analysis, presenting complex information through clear visual outputs and insights.
  • Manage Activity-Based Costing (ABC) financial activities, including defining cost drivers, calculating overhead allocations, and working with Finance to support budget planning.
  • Lead the annual rate development and review processes in partnership with Finance and operational leads.
  • Support service planning and budgeting cycles, including the preparation, analysis, and review of corporate submissions.
  • Act as a strategic partner on high-priority and cross-divisional initiatives, contributing to change management and stakeholder alignment.
  • Provide leadership to a team of analysts, including recruitment, coaching, mentorship, performance management, and recognition.
  • Build collaborative relationships across departments to align priorities, foster accountability, and support a culture of data-driven performance.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Science or a related field and at least 8 years of progressive experience overseeing complex technology, data, and information management, OR;
  • A graduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Math, Engineering, Statistics, Science or a related field and at least 4 years of progressive experience overseeing complex technology, data, and information management
  • A designation or accreditation in Business Intelligence, Financial Analysis or Data Management is preferred.
  • Proficiency with data analysis tools (i.e. Excel, SQL) and visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI is required.
  • Strong financial literacy and high-level understanding of corporate capital, finance, and planning processes.
  • The ability to plan, prepare and present complex reports and presentations to senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to connect data to strategy, as well as excellent attention to detail.
  • A passion for driving improvement, solving problems, and making systems work better for people.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience leading people and building a high-performing, engaged team.
  • Excellent Communication and collaboration skills; ability to influence across levels and disciples.
  • Equivalent combinations of experience and education may be considered.

Location: 655R 25 Avenue SE

Compensation: A2 $113,400 - 141,700 per annum

Days of Work: This position works a 5 day

work week earning 1 day off in a 3 week cycle.

Hours of work: Standard 35 hour work week
