About the role

Job Description

Are you looking to put your expertise in credit and collections to work within a dynamic, collaborative, and fast-growing team?Reporting to the Credit and Collections Manager, you will play a key role in assessing customer risk, optimizing collection processes, and implementing rigorous credit granting practices. Your attention to detail, analytical skills, and cross-functional collaboration will directly contribute to the company's financial health.

We offer a flexible hybrid work model, allowing you to work both from home and from our office in Laval.

Primary responsabilities

  • Assess customer creditworthiness based on credit reports, financial statements, and payment history to recommend appropriate credit limits.
  • Produce and maintain financial reports (customer balances, aging, performance indicators such as DSO, average payment time, margin variances, etc.) to support management decisions.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks related to customers in collaboration with internal teams (sales, project managers, account management).
  • Organize and participate in meetings with sector controllers to gather relevant information on at-risk WIP (work in progress).
  • Collaborate with the project risk management team to ensure consistent and effective follow-up on decisions made.
  • Rigorously monitor overdue accounts and develop tailored collection strategies for each situation.
  • Create new customer accounts in the accounting system, accurately validating legal, contractual, and administrative information.
  • Enforce internal credit policies while contributing to the continuous improvement of processes for greater efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

  • College diploma (DEC) in accounting or a related field
  • Certification in credit management or risk analysis (an asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit analysis, accounts receivable management, or risk management
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerBI); experience with ERP systems or AR management software
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written; bilingualism is a key requirement for this position to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including clients, partners, and cross-functional teams across the country
