Contract position
Mississauga-Oakville Veterinary Emergency Hospital is currently welcoming an Animal Care Attendant to join our Imaging department. This is an excellent opportunity to learn advanced imaging CT, and MRI. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can provide exemplary care to our patients and clients. Previous experience in a veterinary hospital is a strong asset in this fast-paced environment.
- Caring for our patients; feeding, walking and offering a gentle voice of assurance
- Ensure animal housing or enclosure is clean, sanitary and comfortable
- Create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for patients and pet parents
- Ability to prioritize workload
- General housekeeping duties
- Willingness to learn more regarding veterinary services and updated medical procedures
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations and maintain a high quality of care in a busy environment
- Ability to adapt to changing situations
- Working with a team focus, assisting the veterinary staff with various procedures, tasks and treatments
ACAs in Imaging have the opportunity to work with and learn from our Imaging RVTs, as well as our board-certified Veterinary Neurologists.
Schedule: This is a 2-month contract position
