RESPONSIBILITIES:

Gather requirements from internal stakeholders to understand business needs

Collect, clean, and transform large datasets to be used for machine learning models

Develop and maintain data models that can be used by AI systems
-
Identify opportunities to apply AI solutions to streamline processes and improve user experience.
-
Develop machine learning models using various programming languages and tools
-
Train models using relevant data sets and fine-tune them for accuracy and performance
-
Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into the company's systems
-
Create reports and visualizations to communicate findings to project stakeholders
-
Stay current with AI trends and advancements in the construction industry to help drive innovation within R.W. Tomlinson.
REQUIREMENTS:
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
-
At least 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in the field of AI
-
Experience with machine learning algorithms, deep learning frameworks, and natural language processing (NLP) techniques
-
Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, or other relevant data analysis tools
-
Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js
-
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
-
Knowledge of security best practices for AI, such as data anonymization, secure model deployment, and secure data handling.
-
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills
-
This position is working in our Ottawa office.
