Summer Student Hourly - General Help
About the role
We are looking for Summer Students for our Scarborough location. Shift: Monday to Friday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. and wage: $17:20 per hour.
Job Summary:
We are seeking detail-oriented and reliable summer students to assist with cycle count inventory activities in the Stores department. The successful candidates will support inventory accuracy by physically counting materials, verifying system records, and reporting discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform physical inventory counts of parts and materials in Stores
- Compare physical counts to system records and report any discrepancies
- Organize, label, and maintain inventory areas
- Assist with data entry and inventory reconciliation
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies while working in the warehouse environment
- Provide general support to the Stores team, including housekeeping and material handling
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university program
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, data entry)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Work Conditions:
- Requires standing, walking, and lifting materials (up to 30 lbs.)
- Work is performed in a warehouse or industrial environment, with potential exposure to dust and noise
