Job Summary

A Brief Overview

Reporting to a Regional Manager, International Undergraduate Enrolment, and receiving, the Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing a marketing and recruitment plan for undergraduate programs at Queen's University. By liaising with prospective students and other stakeholders/influencers, the incumbent will motivate prospective students to apply for admission at Queen's. More specifically, this will involve the creation and delivering of presentations about Queen's to varied audiences and advising on matters such as admission qualifications, program details, university life, student resources and support, and financial assistance. The position will also involve conducting research on and interpreting recruitment trends based on data analysis and the Undergraduate Strategic Enrolment Report.

This position requires the incumbent to regularly travel and work evenings and weekends and is subject to the Averaging and Travel Time Credit provisions of the USW Local 2010 Collective Agreement. This position also requires a valid class G driver's license (note: G1 and G2 are not acceptable). In addition, a Satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening are required.

The schedule for this position requires the incumbent to work variable hours on a regular basis, including evenings and weekends. In addition, travel is an inherent part of the position. This position is subject to the Averaging and Travel Time Credit provisions of the USW Local 2010 Collective Agreement.

Job Description

What you will do

Researches and develops plans for identifying target markets for assigned areas to meet enrollment objectives.

Plans and coordinates large recruitment events including logistics, itineraries, and budgets.

Develops, prepares and delivers recruitment presentations to potential enrollees at recruitment activities, fairs, events, and other outreach opportunities.

Engages with potential enrollees to answer questions and provide information via virtual outreach including live chat, e-mail, website applications, and in-person.

Provides advice and guidance to prospective students on programs that meet their specific professional and academic goals, the application and admission processes, and financial assistance process.

Analyzes data and prepares reports on recruitment efforts and progress on meeting enrollment objectives.

  • Other duties as required in support of the department and/or unit.

Required Education

  • Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent.

Required Experience

  • More than 3 years and up to and including 5 years of experience.

Required Licenses and Certifications G Driver's Licence required.

Vulnerable Sector Screening required.

  • Satisfactory Criminal Records Check required.

Consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
