About the role
Clean Harbors is seeking a Pricing Manager in Canada to join their team! This role is responsible for providing sound, logical pricing decisions by Line of Business, Geography and Vertical. Plays an important role in the growth and profitability of each of the different segments, oversees base pricing, special pricing, surcharges, off specs including managing pricing systems. Provides feedback to the sales and marketing management team on ways to grow segments, identify changes in the market, and communicate creative ideas to enhance company capabilities.

Respond to requests for pricing from both site services and technical service group personnel, for below-floor pricing for drums, for unique waste streams, and for general pricing guidance.

Respond to business analysts/price improvement team for pricing guidance in evaluating expiring contracts/quotes.

Work with the proposal team personnel on disposal pricing for major proposals, including working with logistics personnel to analyze and strategize effective transportation schemes for these bids.

Continual daily review of the Quote Workbench to ensure speed of service to customers.

Ensure that those with pricing rights know their roles and responsibilities, and to improve profitability as well as wins.

Act as a back-up to plant general managers and facility marketing management for their bulk quote approvals.

Provide constructive criticism and feedback

Add value (improve profitability as well as wins rates) through review all quotes submitted on the workbench for US and Canada.

Confirm pricing is within thresholds set by FMMs, Bulk BLM and Sr. Management.

Assure any quotes priced below thresholds are approved by Sr. Management and add QSPR explaining tactic and rationale.

Assure disposal costs from least cost routing are logical prior to quote approval. Report on disposal cost oddities to outbound disposal group.

Assure component costs are accurate and up to date. Assure speed of quote decisions by reviewing oldest unapproved quotes.

Assure oldest quotes are deleted, use frequency information to expire one-time quotes. Compare quote frequencies to shipping frequencies to determine if we have lost business. Update frequency information

Negotiating skills Working knowledge of environmental statutes and regulations, business development, revenue enhancement and market penetration

Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communications skills Customer Service orientated.

Knowledge of scoping/pricing of Field Services.

Knowledge of hazardous waste.
-
Knowledge of equipment, environmental regulations/statutes, safety and compliance.

Prociency in Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel.
