Reporting to the Safety Manager, this position is responsible for the overall effective management of the Safety Department, providing leadership on and directing the overall safety strategy for the site.
What you will do:
- Focus on our surface operations
- Work together with the team to implement, maintain, administer and audit the Nutrien Safety System
- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees
- Maintain compliance, and ensuring line management
- Knowledgeable in OHS and division’s safety policies and procedures
- Work with external parties as required
What you will bring:
- Strong skills in the areas of collaboration, communication and organization
- Demonstrated safety leadership
- Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Good computer skills, especially in the Office 365 suite.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills including public speaking
- Ability to prioritize work tasks with minimal supervision
- Supervisory and relevant designation would be an asset
