About the role
Rodd Grand Yarmouth is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented person to fill the role of dishwasher.
Mission: To be an integral part of a Culinary team that provides culinary experiences for our guests that makes it irresistible for them to return. This is achieved by ensuring dishes, kitchen equipment and work areas are kept clean to the highest standard.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wash dishes glassware, flatware, pots, and/or pans using the dishwasher or by hand.
- Clean garbage cans with water or steam.
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition.
- Place clean dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment in storage areas.
- Sort and remove trash, placing it in designated pickup areas.
- Sweep and scrub floors
- Receive and store supplies
- Clean and prep food for cooking and serving as required.
- Maintain all hotel property in a clean and functional condition by reporting all maintenance needs to the Executive Chef observed during the shift, both in the kitchen and all areas of the hotel.
- All other duties as assigned.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Ø Good communication skills.
Ø Ability to take direction.
Ø Ability to work in a team environment.
Ø Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
Ø Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
Ø Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.
Ø Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
