Job Details

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Customer Support: Handle inquiries, provide updates, and support other departments in resolving customer issues related to returns.
  • Supplier Coordination: Request return numbers, coordinate destruction requests, and process credits.
  • Returns Documentation & Inspection: Ensure proper documentation, reconcile quantities, inspect returned products, and return items to inventory.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records for returns, credits, and customer claims.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Track, log, and process client returns daily.
    • Manage inventory adjustments, stock placement, and compliance with storage requirements.
    • Oversee inventory cycle counts, annual counts, and variance processing.
  • Process Improvement: Assess workflows, recommend improvements, and implement sustainable controls for efficiency.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on returns, inventory health, and metrics.
  • Collaboration: Work with customer service, QA and inventory teams to address stock adjustments, product placement, and returns reasons.
  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, client return policies, and industry regulations.
  • Other Duties: Participate in physical inventories, update metrics, and assist with training, and performance management of team members.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

  • Education: Post-secondary education in business administration, supply chain, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related or progressively responsible role.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Dynamics) and inventory management principles.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Analytical Abilities: Experience with data analysis, root cause analysis, and inventory metrics (turns, velocity, etc.).
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities, tasks, and project milestones.
  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in processing returns and inventory management.
  • Customer Service: Problem-solving, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Warehouse Experience: Familiarity with warehouse/distribution environments and processes.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make sound decisions and work independently.
