About the role
Responsibilities
- Process and manage payroll for a large organization (Hourly, Salary and piece work bonuses).
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee timecards, deductions, garnishees and subsistence.
- Review and reconcile payroll reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies, regulations and branch allocations.
- Collaborate with accounting departments to resolve payroll discrepancies, answer employee inquiries and interact with accounting team
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Assist in the preparation of payroll-related reports for management and auditors
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and adhere to data protection standards
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization
Note: Experience with USA payroll, 401K and group benefits would be an asset
