JOB OVERVIEW

Responsibilities:

  • Operate robotic plasma spray systems to apply thermal barrier and wear-resistant coatings to aerospace components.
  • Work with high-temperature alloys such as Inconel, Titanium, and Nickel-based materials.
  • Perform setup, programming, and troubleshooting of plasma spray equipment.
  • Ensure coating thickness, adhesion, and quality meet aerospace standards.
  • Interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and engineering specifications.
  • Conduct pre- and post-coating inspections to verify coating integrity.
  • Collaborate with engineers, welders, and quality teams to optimize processes.
  • Maintain equipment, process parameters, and ensure compliance with AS9100 and FAA/EASA requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Experience operating robotic plasma spray systems in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of plasma coating processes, metallurgy, and high-temperature materials.
  • Strong understanding of thermal spray technology and CNC/robotic programming.
  • Ability to adjust process parameters, troubleshoot issues, and optimize coatings.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools for verifying coating quality.
  • High attention to detail, quality-driven mindset, and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for handling high-temperature coatings and materials.
