About The Position
- We are searching for a permanent Manager, Internal Audit to join our Internal Audit team.
- PBC’s compensation program is built on a pay-for-performance philosophy, rewarding both individual and organizational achievements. The typical hiring range for this position is $107,300 - $135,000 per year, with the starting salary determined based on a combination of skills, education, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards package, you’ll be eligible for our annual bonus program.

Key Ways This Position Makes An Impact You will be planning, executing, reporting and following up on internal audit assurance and advisory engagements. Engagements vary in type and complexity, and may include financial, operational, compliance, IT and digital transformational projects. You are accountable for your engagements, and take pride in your work.
You will lead and conduct engagements, ensuring that the audit program complies with the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global Audit Standards. You are a team player and a supportive leader with a focus on quality reporting and timely deliverables.
You will maintain collaborative relationships and communicate at all levels of management and staff throughout PBC, ensuring our engagements provide value that helps them achieve their objectives. You strive to build strong relationships with all your stakeholders.
This role supports the Chief Internal Auditor in completing the risk-based Internal Audit Plan, advancing our Internal Audit Strategy, and implementing continuous improvement of internal audit practices, procedures, and tools. You will maintain the Quality Assurance and Improvement Program to ensure compliance with IIA standards.
As part of the Internal Audit Management team, you will support the development of departmental objectives, prepare materials for Audit Committee and coordinate assurance with other internal and external assurance partners.
Key Experiences You Bring To This Role
- 5 - 8 years of related experience in internal audit.
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership position.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with a major in Business, Accounting, or an equivalent discipline including or supplemented by courses in leadership/supervision.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation, or equivalent.
- Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and/or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation, or equivalent.
- Advanced knowledge of the concepts, standards and best practices of risk management and internal audit.
It’s preferred and considered an asset if you have:
- Experience providing proactive assurance/advisory on complex business transformation programs and/or system conversion projects.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations in the insurance industry.
