WAGE RATE: $26.426 – $27.085

Reporting to the Environmental Services Supervisor, the Environmental Services Worker supports the Environmental Services department in various cleaning & disinfecting duties. These include cleaning & disinfecting equipment, cleaning of all clinical, public & support areas of the facility, project cleaning, distribution & collection of linens, collection of waste materials and recycling.

Qualifications / Skills / Abilities:

Required

  • Secondary School Diploma
  • Ability to follow written and verbal job instructions and meet strict timelines
  • Ability to carry out correct lifting and carrying techniques (to be tested)
  • Willingness and ability to complete of Code White Training
  • Ability to process own computer based work orders and email
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends
  • Ability to wear appropriate footwear and personal protective equipment
  • Respond to all Brightshores contingency codes
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance record
  • Adherence to Brightshores ‘CARE’ Behaviours (Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, Excellence) and ‘LEAD’ Competencies (Lead by example, Empower, Achieve results, Develop others) and a commitment to a safe workplace free of violence and harassment
