Shift Vacancies:
Day Shift : Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

General Objective:
- Verify that parts meet drawing and process requirements.
- Provide feedback to QC Manager about dimensional and visual inspection results.
- Work closely with peers to ensure timely inspection of customer parts.
- All product is inspected and completed to Norquest/customer quality standard.
Goals and Key Result Areas:
- Accurate verification of machined parts to comply with drawings and specification requirements, ensuring their timely inspection to maintain production efficiencies and communicate with peers on any possible failures or concerns.
- Ability to measure all manufactured components.
- Develop excellent working relationships with QC Manager, QC Inspector, shift leads, Supervisors, Machinists, and Operators.
- Ability to communicate technical and drawing issues.
- Eliminate any Quality escapes.
- Performed required tasks in a timely manor.
- Report any non-conformities to QCAP, shift-lead or supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Excellent knowledge with all measuring devices.
- Perform First-Off, In-Process, and Final Inspections on parts and components for compliance with drawings, routings and procedural requirements.
- Generate accurate dimensional inspection reports.
- Help identify areas of improvement for the Quality Management System.
- Assist machinists and operators with molds, MRP gauge set-ups and increase inspection efficiency.
- Apply inspection techniques, knowledge, and experience by using necessary measuring and monitoring tools and equipment.
- Comply with all HSE, QMS and Corporate policies at Norquest.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years QC experience
- Machining background/experience
- Welding and Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) experience is an asset.
- Faro Arm experience required
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and specifications.
- Capable of inspecting machined parts.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills at all levels.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
- Advanced QC measuring techniques and experience by using a variety of inspection and measurement tools and instruments.
- Great computer Skills.
- Assembly experience. Understanding how the parts are assembled and the functions.
- Calibration knowledge
- Great attention to detail (Visual Inspection, documentation etc.)
