International Services for Students provides holistic programs and services to support the international, newcomer and refugee student experience at SFU and manages the University's Study Abroad Programs (formal exchange, study abroad, faculty-led field schools) with over 130 partners around the globe to facilitate transformative international and intercultural learning opportunities for SFU students.

About the Role

The International Services Assistant acts as the first point of contact for SFU International Services for Students (ISS). Responds to diverse inquiries from students, faculty, staff, parents, international visitors, and the general public seeking information about ISS services and programs, as well as educational programs and services at SFU. Supports students seeking international student and study abroad advising appointments. Provides a range of secretarial, clerical, and administrative support to SFU International Services for Students staff and programs. Maintains confidential student records. Receives, prepares, and processes a variety of forms and documents, including petty cash vouchers and deposits. Schedules and coordinates meetings, appointments and other events; books meeting rooms and organizes meeting resources, takes, transcribes and distributes minutes of meetings, and initiates follow-up; and maintains office files and inventory.
