Parker Hannifin Canada is offering an exciting opportunity for a Technical Support Intern at our Milton, Ontario head office. This role will focus on impactful projects that support our operations across Parker Canada.

As a Technical Support Intern, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional technical and customer support across various disciplines, including:

  • Industrial & Mobile Hydraulics
  • Truck Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Fluid Connector Products
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic Cylinders

Start Date:The start date for this role will be September 2025, for a duration of 12 months

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to technical inquiries from internal and external customers via phone, email, and CRM systems, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Assisting customers with product applications and offering guidance on product selection.

  • Conducting competitive part number cross-referencing to help customers find suitable alternatives.

  • Loading new product part numbers into Parker’s operating system efficiently.

  • Managing product shop orders and conversions to streamline operations.

  • Communicating effectively with all internal and external stakeholders to foster strong relationships.

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with source divisions.

  • Identifying lean opportunities and implementing corrective initiatives to achieve continuous improvement goals within the department.

  • Performing additional duties and tasks as assigned.

  • Understanding and supporting the Parker WIN Strategy to enhance operational effectiveness.

  • Enrolled in College in Fluid Power Program or related field

  • Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, and specifications.

  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with all internal and external contacts.

  • Strong ability to prioritize tasks, meet commitments, take ownership, and proactively solve problems while working collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to act as a change agent, driving continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Superior follow-up and organizational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

  • Adaptability and flexibility, combined with a commitment to accuracy in all tasks.\

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining focus on team goals.
