Cineplex is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic technology team and help drive the future of our enterprise network — both on-premises and in the cloud.

As a Senior Network Engineer at Cineplex, you will play a critical role in designing, operating, and evolving the networking and security infrastructure that powers our business. From firewalls and routing to cloud connectivity and load balancing, you'll be hands-on with a wide range of technologies and will mentor junior team members along the way. In this role, you will:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and operation of network and security systems across on-premises and multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Manage enterprise routing and switching, ensuring performance and reliability across the Cineplex infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of LAN/WAN configurations, troubleshooting and recovery procedures.
  • Design and implement robust network monitoring solutions, providing real-time visibility into performance and uptime.
  • Ensure all network changes follow formal change control protocols to maintain system integrity.
  • Support the installation and configuration of networking hardware in compliance with corporate standards.
  • Provide mentorship and technical leadership to junior Network Engineers and Administrators.

✅ What You'll Bring

  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Cisco CCNP certification required.
  • Fortinet NSE6 certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience with routing and switching in complex enterprise environments.
  • 5+ years working with firewall technologies, particularly Fortinet and Cisco Meraki.
  • 3+ years of experience with load balancing technologies.
  • Expert-level experience with Fortinet, Cisco, Brocade, and HP networking gear.
  • Experience working with cloud networking in Azure and/or AWS environments.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, protocols, and hardware.
  • Proficiency with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds.
  • Skilled in network design, documentation (Visio), and performance optimization.
  • Deep network troubleshooting skills, ability to take and interpret packet captures.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work across technical and non-technical teams.
  • A proactive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently or collaboratively.
  • Ability to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network infrastructure devices, including wireless access points, firewalls, routers, switches, & controllers.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and fostering technical growth.
  • Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE)
