About the role

Reporting to the Truro Branch Manager, the Electrical Inside Salesperson will provide exceptional customer service to current and potential clients. This includes reaching out to prospects, making initial calls, and fostering lasting relationships with our existing customers.

What you’ll do:

  • Explore commercial and project sales opportunities, providing competitive price quotations.
  • Make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers via telephone and email to suggest complementary products and upgrades.
  • Build a network of contacts to acquire prospective customers, driving future sales.
  • Address and overcome objections from potential customers.
  • Highlight product/service features and benefits, provide pricing details, and facilitate customer sales orders.
  • Work with the Outside Electrical Salesperson and overall sales team to accomplish goals and objectives.

Qualifications and key competencies:

  • You have technical knowledge and experience in Electrical, IAC or related fields.
  • Ideally, you have a sales/customer service background in electrical/IAC.
  • Exceptional skills in identifying and resolving problems and objections.
  • You are adept at establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with customers.
  • A self-motivated individual with high energy and an enthusiastic approach to the job.
  • An understanding and knowledge of wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.

This is a full-time position based in Truro, NS operating during regular business hours from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday. However, occasional work outside these hours should be expected.

Annual base salary will be commensurate with your experience.
