Front Counter & Production
Thursday - Sunday, 10am - 6pm
$20-$22.50 to start, pay increase and benefits after 90 days (FoodSafe certification required within 90 days, though we will pay for the certification).
Carnivore Meats is looking for someone to help us feed and support our community. We are a whole-animal butcher shop & deli working only with local, ethically raised animals. We have a supportive staff and a passionate clientele, all of whom care about what they eat.
We are looking for someone passionate about food, someone with a great work ethic, and most importantly someone with strong communication skills. Experience is always great, though attitude is more important. We are a small team that takes pride in its work and attention to detail, and we are always working to improve.
Front End staff help customers one-on-one, helping them find the right cut for their meal and their budget. We have a great clientele that trust us with their and their families' meals, and we take that very seriously. Front End staff communicate with meat cutters on customer questions & requests, they maintain front display counters, restock shelves and refrigerators, take orders in person and over the phone, and help with light food prep and production, all while keeping a constant eye out for cleanliness.

THE JOB:
- Serve & support customers using clear communication & best Foodsafe practices
- Maintenance of fresh meat displays and rotating fresh product using best practices
- Preparation & production of premade meals, burgers, meatballs, pies, etc.
- Packaging of meats & marinades
- Stock maintenance & rotation
- Maintaining a clean environment to high standards
- Manage time effectively to prioritize tasks and meet customer needs in a fast-paced environment
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Kitchen, restaurant, meats, or customer service experience are all preferred, though if you feel you're right for it please apply
- Current Foodsafe level 1 Certification, or willingness to become certified (we will pay for your certification)
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food handling procedures is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.50 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
