Purpose of the role
Under the supervision of the Receiving and Distribution Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for receiving and distributing merchandise. He/she ensures the accuracy of received goods and performs the necessary follow-ups within required deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Manually and safely unload delivery vehicles;
- Lift boxes (up to 40 lbs) and place them on pallets;
- Transport and place merchandise in the designated area within the warehouse;
- Open orders and distribute received items to stores based on the purchase order document;
- Ensure that SKU barcodes match the styles, colors, and sizes in the system, and follow up with the team leader if discrepancies are found;
- Seal boxes when full and send them to the scanning department;
- Separate and sort mail or packages received for the entire company;
- Maintain cleanliness and order in the distribution center and assist other departments as needed;
- Perform all other related tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Experience in receiving, distribution, or a similar environment (an asset).
- Ability to stand for long periods
