About the role:

nesto is looking for a Funding Specialist to support our clients, partners and legal experts in the process of funding a mortgage loan. You will be working directly with all the nesto partners to make sure that closing will be complete in time and to make sure that customers have a flawless mortgage financing experience . On a daily basis, you will also be interacting with our Mortgage Advisors, Mortgage Processors and Mortgage Underwriters.

In this high impact role you will leverage your communications skills as well as your analytical skills. You’ll be accountable to successfully secure mortgage approvals for a pipeline of clients.

What you will do

• Ensure nesto is being proactive in the funding stages to preserve the client experience
• Ensure closing dates are respected by all parties (FCT, notaries, clients, etc.) or duly modified in our systems and inform every key stakeholder
• Proactively identify at risk files within your pipeline and take necessary actions to bring files to success
• Handle customer questions pertaining to the Funding process (delays, payout errors, etc.)
• Handle all responsibilities / tasks pertaining to Funding
• Coordination with FCT (e.g. sending instructions, validating milestones)
• Coordination of wire transfers
• Generation of Loan Agreements (and revisions)
• Handle customer questions pertaining to the Funding process (delays, payout errors, etc.)
• Post-funding: ensure compliance of files (90 days post disbursement)

Your Profile

• Minimum 1 year of mortgage experience or relevant financial background, including but not limited to: Funding Specialist, Mortgage Assistant, Bank Mortgage Specialist, or Mortgage Underwriter
• Highly organized, tech-savvy, and detail-oriented
• Thrives in a fast-paced work environment
• Passionate about providing an outstanding and caring client experience
• Bilingual in French and English
