You'll help shape and support innovative GIS services across exciting projects in Environmental Planning, Biology, Wildfire Management, and Urban Forestry while supporting our dynamic office and field teams.

We’re seeking a dynamic, solutions-oriented individual who communicates with clarity and works seamlessly with others. You’re someone who takes initiative, navigates challenges with creativity, and contributes to a team with both confidence and curiosity.
Wage Range : $30 to $38/hour based on experience
Full time: Monday to Friday, In-Person
What you’ll do:
- Manage and analyze large geospatial datasets to ensure data accuracy, integrity, accessibility, and metadata standards are met.
- Convert data between AutoCAD and GIS platforms for seamless collaboration with our consulting partners.
- Build smart, custom field forms (Field Maps Designer and Arcade)
- Create web maps, applications, and dashboards (ArcGIS Online).
- Perform data compilation, modeling, and analysis, using GIS and other tools to produce visually compelling maps, reports, summary statistics, dashboards, etc.
- Assist and train staff to effectively use available GIS tools and innovations. Develop clear technical documentation to help them replicate workflows and confidently apply key concepts.
- Assist in drafting technical GIS/remote sensing components for proposals and estimating budgets.
Specialist tasks required:
- Advanced geospatial analyses for projects across departments
- Land cover and vegetation classification using LiDAR and other remote sensing products
- Application development and customization with scripting languages
- Spatial modelling in the fields of urban forestry/biology and/or ecology
- Drone flight planning and 3D photogrammetry scene processing and display
To be successful, you have:
- Degree, certificate or diploma in Geomatics, Geography, Planning, Statistics, or related discipline
- Minimum 1 to 2 years of practical work experience; preferably in a consulting environment
- Demonstrated experience with ESRI’s ArcGIS desktop suite of software, ArcGIS Online and AutoCAD
- Demonstrated field form design experience and use of ArcGIS Field Maps and Field Maps Designer
- Python, R scripting, Arcade scripting, and SQL expressions for geospatial and data analysis applications
- Understanding of remote sensing principles and data processing, including LiDAR applications
- Hands-on experience managing and overseeing data conversion, cleaning and preparation
- Knowledge of standard statistical and analytical principles and techniques required for urban community planning purposes
- Strong attention to detail
Bonus skills and experience, not required:
- Post-graduate degree in Geomatics, spatial statistics, or related discipline
- PowerBI
- Adobe Creative Suite (including InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop) for graphic design and document layout
- Trimble eCognition
- IT skills
