Salary Range
$32.04 per hour (with wage increments to a max of $36.06 per hour). Salary and wage increments are in accordance with the Collective Agreement.

WHAT IT TAKES
- A Degree in Sport Science or equivalent from a recognized post-secondary educational institution and one or two years of lab experience in a sport or activity-based area
- In-depth theoretical and practical knowledge of fitness assessment and prescription.
- Good working knowledge of course content, operation and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment and apparatus, and modern techniques pertaining to the instruction of science courses.
- Some knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), html programming as well as common sport, fitness, analytical software/databases.
- Good working knowledge of the English language (written and verbal).
- A demonstrated ability to:
- instruct students and public clients professionally and effectively.
- communicate courteously and effectively in person, in writing, and over the telephone with students, faculty, administrators, staff and the public.
- work in a team environment as well as work independently with minimum direct supervision to establish priorities and achieve deadlines.
- follow and adhere to College and Department policies and procedures and maintain confidential records.
- take initiative, organize, schedule and prioritize.
- supervise student assistants.

Hours of work are to be determined based on operational need between 7:30 am – 9:30 pm from Monday to Friday.

Occasional evening and/or weekend work may be required.

The successful candidate must be able to work at either of the two campuses, in New Westminster and Coquitlam.
