About the role

The essential duties of this position include providing technical support for knowledge based services to ACC Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Division (A3C) primarily supporting the Air Operations Center (AOC), Control and Reporting Center (CRC), Battle Control Center (BCC), Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD), Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS), Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), E-11 Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN), and Airborne Reconnaissance Operations. The position requires one-on-one interaction with USAF staff both on-premise and remotely. The position requires independent research and analysis, communication, documentation, and problem solving.

Essential Functions

  • Provide analytical and technical support for all CRC equipment and recommend options to manage and improve CRC sustainment processes, procedures, and maintenance doctrine.
  • Review, develop, prepare and execute sustainment strategies, maintenance concepts, and fielding plans for new systems equipment modifications and changes to legacy CRC equipment.
  • Liaise with system program offices, MAJCOM counterparts, other agencies on staff, and other CRCs to remain current on CRC weapon system capabilities, developments and initiatives; advise branch leadership on policies and positions.
  • Develop and recommend modifications to CRC equipment to improve operational capability and to resolve maintenance, logistics, and training issues.
  • Attend and actively participate in meetings, conferences, working groups, and symposiums in which broad aspects of weapon system acquisition, sustainment, and operations are discussed. Coordinate any required Government decisions with branch leadership.
  • Participate as Maintenance and Communications SME in CRC related exercises, tests, experimentation, table top and staff level events contributing to the sustainment and modernization of the CRC and associated infrastructure.
  • Develop, analyze, and validate requirement documentation such as AF Form 1067, Functional Capability Documents, and similar acquisition/modification documentation. Coordinate with branch leadership to recommend A3C’s position.

Education And Experience

  • Degree from an accredited university (Bachelor’s)
  • Experience as a USAF Radar, Airfield & Weather Systems (AF AFSC 1C8) or Cyber Defense Operations (AF AFSC 1D7) with focus on ground radios or radar maintenance (10 Years)

OR

  • Experience as Cyberspace Operations Officer (AF AFSC 17D) with focus on ground radios or radar maintenance (10 Years)

Experience with CRC weapons system capabilities, operations, weapons system capabilities, developments and initiatives, sustainment, and organizational structure (3 Years)

  • Financial resource management experience including budget cycle, execution/spend plan preparation, and program financial baseline analysis experience (2 Years)
  • Experience with CRC weapons system maintenance/sustainment/logistics functions and the USAF Lifecycle Sustainment Processes (3 Years)
  • Experience with USAF provisioning processes, technical order development, maintenance training, and allowance source requirements development and review (3 Years)
  • Relevant experience as a project and/or program manager with demonstrated ability to perform as a senior level expert and serve as a senior project lead (4 Years)
  • Experience working in a Headquarters Staff (NAF, MAJCOM, or above) environment producing decision documents, presenting briefings, building staff packages, coordinating with other staff personnel, working with other major command elements, and interfacing with USAF staffs (3 Years)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Microsoft Teams, and Adobe Acrobat software (Meets)

Active DOD Secret Clearance is required.
