About the role
Manning Elliott is seeking a motivated and accomplished Manager for our Public Company Audit service line. In this role, you will be responsible for leading audit engagements, managing team members, being a primary client contact and ensuring exceptional service is provided to our clients. You will play an important role in the development of your team.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead team members in the execution of audit engagements
- Develop strong relationships with clients
- Effectively communicate with clients, team members and engagement leaders
- Coach and provide effective supervision of engagement team members
- Manage team resources to meet engagement/ project deadlines
- Perform research on accounting and auditing matters
- Participate in firm activities such as delivering training, recruiting, coaching and mentoring to team members
- Actively support and participate in firm wide initiatives.
- Promote the firm’s system of quality control.
- Participate in the firm’s Team Development and Performance Management Program.
Qualifications
- CPA designation with a minimum of three years post qualification experience in Public Practice.
- Significant audit and accounting experience working with Canadian Auditing Standards and IFRS.
- Experience with PCAOB auditing standards, audit of internal control over financial reporting and US GAAP is an asset.
- Strong experience building lasting relationships by providing exceptional service to clients.
- Committed to continuous learning and developing professionally.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including strong presentation skills.
- Demonstrated experience working in a coaching or mentoring capacity to other team members.
- High attention to detail and comfortable working within and meeting tight deadlines.
- Capable of managing multiple complex projects to meet deadlines and client expectations.
